Upgrade from a previous version to be EMV compliant and take advantage of 50%-70% off software and EMV ready hardware

Intuit QuickBooks Point of Sale EMV Compliant

We've been talking a lot about the shift to EMV and are excited to announce QuickBooks Point of Sale Desktop V12 is now EMV compliant.

Intuit recently released a critical update for Point of Sale Desktop V12 containing a patch that when installed makes the software EMV compliant.

Early in the industry shift to EMV, which began October 1, 2015, Intuit stated it would extend liability coverage to their Payments customers for fraud related charges until EMV solutions were ready. Intuit is set to expire its liability coverage for Point of Sale Desktop users beginning August 15, 2016, now that the software component is EMV compliant.

What Does This Mean for Me?

QuickBooks Point of Sale Desktop users must have the following (3) components in place to be end-to-end EMV compliant:

  1. QuickBooks Point of Sale Desktop V12 Software* with R6 EMV compliant patch installed
EMV will only be supported on the latest Point of Sale software version, QuickBooks Point of Sale V12

  2. Activated integrated POS Payments account to process payments through Intuit

  3. EMV ready Ingenico iPP350 PIN pad* installed
The iPP350 is now available for shipment and is currently the only EMV compatible device on the market for Intuit products.

If you are a Point of Sale user and do not have the above components in place when Intuit's liability coverage expires, you could be liable for any EMV related fraudulent charges.

*As an Intuit Elite Premier Level Reseller, Sepulvado Consulting Group is able to offer 50% off QuickBooks Point of Sale Desktop V12 software and 50% off EMV ready PIN pads when you upgrade from V10/V11 by September 15, 2016. V8/V9 users read below for version specific information.
