November 26 is Small Business Saturday. Sandwiched between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it has become a staple of the holiday weekend and a great way for small businesses to promote shopping local.
According to the Small Business Administration, for every $100 spent at a local business, $68 stays in that town versus $43 staying in town when spending the same amount at a national chain. Shoppers spent more than $16 billion at small businesses on Small Business Saturday in 2015.
